Well, one things for sure about the hood......the folks who own everything in the hood will ALWAYS provide what folks desire. Chicken, bootleg dvds, faux diamond watches, knockoff purses, check cashing, and now SNEAKERS. Not just any sneakers, HOOD sneakers: Jordans, Air Force 1's, and Timberlands. Nah, you won't catch dunks and Reebok walking shoes here, this is for the true poor urban consumer. Ever wondered why you don't see fake books (wouldn't that be great if we could get knockoff versions of $175 college textbooks for $5), cause "black folks" don't read. That's another paragraph....
We at Forces and Fitteds are thinkers and we think it's about time people get some REALNESS in their lives. Of course, people want to be seen as "fly" or in style and this is nothing new. We took, maybe 35 minutes to go out on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, MI just to see what the city had to offer in the MANY corner stores. In maybe 1 1/2 miles, we entered 9 liquor stores, 7 had fake shoes in them in PLAIN VIEW for sale, including gas stations. Many stores have built special sections, just to sell fake shoes......Here are some pics....and vids.
